A Brilliant Documentary, A Must See
This extraordinary film follows the life of Víctor Hugo Robles, a Chilean gay activist. The film is simply spectacular. We get to meet his family and friends and see the different, creative ways he has challenged complacency and worked towards social justice. Robles combines minor drag queen aesthetics with radical, leftist politics and broad intellectual preoccupations. He is simply one of the most interesting, charismatic, lovable, and radical gay Chileans anywhere (good competition for Pedro Lemebel and Pacho Casas), and this film does an amazing job at portraying his life and thoughts. I saw it at a friend's house for the first time and immediately had to see it again.
