Love and Other Dilemma's concerns the characters stuck in a curse. On every wedding day for a female Shapiro (in this incarnation Gabrielle Miller), who has traditionally been knocked up, her husband suffers the fate of death...well first a non-death where they're kind of dead, and then they die. The story follows Miller's character in various quirky events with three possible suitors in the frame of a story to the eventual daughter. I liked the idea behind the film, but it suffers from the same sort of problem that Young Triffie suffered: it looks like a TV movie, or what I like to term the CBC/CTV Movie, where no attention is set to the look of the movie. Its a minor discrepancy, as the story's entertainment value, and a little bit of my own obsession with Corner Gas and Robson Arms, adds to the entertainment that makes this a nice, entertaining watch. A quirky, cute little story involving curses, death, and non-death that's actually quite fun for the whole family.
