- Marie and Frank crash their car into Ray's house.
- Ray and Debra lose their cool when Frank and Marie pull the ultimate unannounced visit to their home. Their untimely appearance sets off a series of events that becomes the "straw that broke the camel's back" with respect to Ray's relationship with his parents. Meanwhile, Debra tries her best to play peacemaker among the family members and to get Ray to reveal the true reason for his hostility towards his folks.
- Marie drives Frank's car backwards through Ray's front door. Frank had ignored the brake issue with the car and Marie couldn't stop in time. Debra is mad and insists that Frank pay to repair everything that was damaged. The entire living room of Debra's house destroyed, but Frank was more worried about the broken taillight on his car. Frank blames the quality of the dry wall, saying that the foreign made stuff has not quality. He praises the build quality of American automobiles.
Frank doesn't have car insurance either, as they don't go anywhere at all. Debra's homeowner insurance covers the damage, but Frank has to cover the deductible of $1000. Frank asks Ray & Debra to ask their contractor to pad the bill, so he gets the $1000 back when the insurance company pays. Frank says that the frauds are built into the Insurance system. Debra wants Frank to pay for everything, but Ray is not very supportive. Frank refuses to pay and Debra stands her ground. She says that Frank should be sympathetic and apologetic. Frank finally gives in and agrees to pay the deductible.
Debra is happy when the wall is built back by their contractor. Debra is also happy that Frank's check did not bounce. When the new wallpaper doesn't exactly match the old paper, Ray seems to overreact. Debra tries to calm Ray down, but he won't relent. Debra says that old wallpaper is out of circulation and will cost more money to print. Hence, she selected a wallpaper which was close enough. Ray is adamant that his parents would have to pay for the correct wallpaper. Debra says that she didn't want to deal with Frank and Marie anymore. Debra says that one has to pick their battles with them. Thats when Marie and Frank come over into the house. Debra tries to tell Frank that he would have to pay to fix the wallpaper, but he refuses. All the vent-up frustrations with his parents come out in the open. He even yells at Debra for backing down on this topic and calls her a traitor.
Ray insists that Marie and Frank pay for the reprinting of the old wallpaper. When Frank declines, Ray throws them out of the house. Debra pulls everyone back in. She gets Ray to share his feelings about his parents that he has kept bottled for so long. Ray calls Marie intrusive. Ray says that it is always Marie who is barging into their home. Ray says that Marie comes way too often and stays for too long. Ray says she never listens to him and Debra. Ray says that many times he never says anything because he says that Marie is not going to listen to anything. Marie tries to blame Frank for driving everybody crazy. After the outburst Ray is embarrassed and cannot look Marie and Frank in their eyes.
Marie and Frank promise to be more understanding going forward. But then they go back to their normal behavior. Robert decides to watch the Italy trip tape at Ray's and Marie and Frank decide to stay. Frank wants Debra to serve them.
