Moderator John Daly, is his first acting credit, worked with guest panelist Richard Boone in 'The Front Page (1949)'. The live 30-minute show, based on the 1928 play, ran on Thursdays at 8pm ET for 18 episodes. The story would successfully be adapted into 'His Girl Friday (1940)'.

Marine mammals' trainer Eddie Asper, the first contestant, worked at 'Marineland of the Pacific' which was the world's largest oceanarium when it opened in 1954 on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Marineland was best known for its performing orcas or "killer whales". The Park officially closed on February 11, 1987.
