The producers were initially concerned that the elephant would not run toward the truck for the show's teaser. However, the elephant thoroughly enjoyed the truck, and the producers had difficulty getting the elephant away from it.
The hardest part of filming was getting an elephant, which required a permit for the animal to pass the border into Vancouver.

The title comes from a line in the William Blake poem "The Tyger." The fictional construction site where the tiger appears, "Blake Towers," is named after the poet. Blake's "Tyger" has fearful symmetry because a tiger is both fear-inspiring and symmetrical. Its stripes create a sense or order, but its power and wildness suggest unpredictable violence. God has created a paradox in the tiger.
