In their pursuit of Alex,Joe and Brian take some indirect tips from Helena as she describes her own reactions to another's man advances. But Alex sees through all their ploys, until Joe and Brian finally resort to honest conversation over dinner to settle their relationship with Alex.—etmahoneyiv

Brian and Joe decide they have to get further along with Alex then being called "Slick and Ace" respectively, so they examine different approaches such as sympathy and being emotional. Brian goes for a jealousy approach (with a fake girlfriend) but gets in trouble. In the end the brothers wear Alex down and she has a date with both, admitting there are parts of each she likes. Brian trys to be more like Joe and vice versa, frustrating Alex who leaves the boys arguing to go home.
