Probably the best episode in my opinion
mikdashim5 June 2006
Warning: Spoilers
In this episode, Mira Sorvino plays Leo's ex who comes to a dinner party at Grace and Leo's apartment in Brooklyn. As if that isn't awkward enough, it turns out that she is the infamous Diane from Will's past. Diane was originally mentioned in a dramatic scene in the 3rd season episode "Low's in the Mid-Eighties".

The writing in this episode was brilliant and the jokes kept coming. All 6 characters (7 if you count "Chompers - The Earl of Puppydom") had great lines. I don't think I have seen another episode as consistent as this one. I had never seen Mira Sorvino before and after this episode I really liked her. This episode is an example of one of those rare times when everything just seems to come together, the script, the actors, the delivery, everything!

Leo's Ex Girlfriend comes to Dinner
philip-4723027 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
In this episode, we get to meet Leo's ex-girlfriend. She is played lovingly by Mira Sorvino. Her and Grace start out liking each other and Mira's character offers her designer handbag to Grace. Karen and Jack join the dinner with their small pooch in tow. During the meal it is revealed that Mira was Will's only female intimate "date". This drives Grace up the wall. And the hilarity ensues. Karen even makes a play or two for Mira, which adds to the humor and tension. Everybody was on their game, including Mira Sorvino. She had some of the best lines in the show. All around it was a quick witted show from beginning to end.

The best episode so far, an absolute series high point
Geedeeb16 May 2022
It's pretty impressive that this episode comes six seasons in, a point at which a lot of shows are already well on the decline. There's not that many words to waste; it's just an incredibly tightly performed showcase of writing, chemistry and timing, the definition of "firing on all cylinders". This show is funny, but here the laughs don't let up for basically the entire half hour. Everything lands, it's crisp, raucous and incredibly entertaining.

I'm on a binge through the whole series and I don't remember everything that comes after, but this has to be a top 3 episode. It's definitely one of my favorites.

An annoying Grace episode
jpapanone23 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Stupid plotline where grace is jealous of will sleeping with a woman but not at harry connick who dated her. Show would have been better without stupid grace plot lines like this. It isn't the only one, but a memorably annoying one. Episode is fine other than that
