The billiard table seen in James West's train car was made smaller than regulation size in order to better fit into its surroundings. Viewrs may notice that this particular table did not have any pockets on the sides or corners. This table is correct for the period it is set in, as the first billiard tables didn't have pockets. Players scored points by striking the cue ball so that it bounced off three cushions before hitting the target ball. When pockets were added the game now called "pool" was created, and billiards declined in popularity, and is rarely seen anywhere now.
James West displays an 1873 Colt revolver with a silver rattlesnake on the grip, the same type used by Clint Eastwood originally in Rawhide and later in the Man With No Name trilogy.
Robert Conrad does not take his shirt off in this episode but he does appear once in an unbuttoned shirt which reveals a generous amount of bare chest. He also appears in two scenes wearing handcuffs.
