Summaries

  • Josh comes to the aid of his old friend Jesse, who is being strong-armed into selling the Outrider Hotel and Saloon owned by his beautiful girlfriend who wants no violence by self-proclaimed mayor and town bully Peter Kovack.
  • Josh walks across the muddy street to check into The Outrider House. He stops to clean his muddy shoes for the shoeshine boy outside but a heavyset man ignores the boy even after Josh tries to convince him to help keep the posh hotel clean. As Josh prepares to go to his room a beautiful woman comes down the stairs. When she catches him watching, she speaks to him. When the clerk says his name, she realizes Josh is there to see Jesse Holloway who manages the property for her. Jesse tells Josh she owns the Outrider after bringing it from Wichita. Their problem is that she borrowed money from Peter Kovack for a contract to run the gambling for a year but now he wants the whole property. Kovack enters without knocking saying he is giving Meghan one last chance but Jesse throws him out. Jesse wants Josh to be the pit boss to catch Kovack's card sharks but their talk is interrupted by the sound of the saloon being destroyed and Jesse won't stop them. Josh prepares to leave until Jesse returns from a meeting with Kovack badly beaten. Josh then concocts his own plan in spite of Megan.—Anonymous
