Here's another what I would call "human interest" story. The focus of this story is another bounty hunter, an older man named "Frank" whom Josh apparently has known for awhile. Frank got wounded recently trying to get this gunslinger and, instead of calling it quits, which is what his long-suffering wife wants, Frank wants to go back avenge being shot in the leg, even if it costs him his life. His wife, Jane, begs Josh to talk sense into him.
"Frank Koster" is played by veteran actor Dick Foran . Dick was a good friend of John Wayne's and played in a lot of "B" westerns, serials, and then television westerns. The man has an interesting biography. Check it out here on IMDb.
Maxine Start plays Frank's wife. I found Stuart to be the most interesting actor here (besides series star Steve McQueen, of course.). Stuart's acting and dialog in here were very impressive, very lifelike.
Anyway, Frank leaves and Josh has t bring him before the crook kills him. Some twists-and-turns develop during this episode which I think you'll find interesting, most of them dealing with the gunslinger's girlfriend, who is not what she seems to be.
Once again, a different kind of story and a good one.
