Bruce Davison and Deborah White in The Waltons (1972)

Goofs

The Shivaree

The Waltons

Edit

Continuity

John-Boy describes a shivaree as something that happens to all grooms on Waltons Mountain, and yet there were no shivarees performed for John-Boy, Jason, Curt Willard (who married Mary-Ellen), Paul Northbridge (who married Erin) or Ike Godsey, all of whom were married on Waltons Mountain.

Revealing mistakes

When Jim-Bob is getting ready to climb down the tree house ladder, the outline of his microphone pack is clearly visible under his overalls.
At 30:15, the spot where Bob Hill trips and falls on his face is clearly some kind of padded surface covered with grass.
At 31:40 into the episode, Kami Cotler appears to trip and fall when bounding from the staircase to the kitchen, prompting Michael Learned to exclaim, "Ooh, are you all right?". Both performers continued with the scene.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

At 24:00, during the shivaree, Horace Brimley is seen blowing a bugle but there is no bugle sound on the audio track. The result is a strange scene where Horace appears to be pretending to play a bugle for some reason.
