During a conversation, Sue Ellison (Candy Moore), tells George Carder (Albert Salmi) that he looked like a "Daniel Boone". Three years later Albert Salmi would play Yadkin, a sidekick of Daniel Boone with Fess Parker.
Wagon Train Tracker - Geographuc references: 1. Last episode the train was likely in Southern California, heading westward on the Gila Trail toward Los Angeles. 2. Flint McCullough's party is heading toward - and Chris Hale rides ahead to - "Fort Anderson," entirely fictional. But it may be a stand-in for Fort Tejon, on the Los Angeles to Stockton road. (However, Fort Tejon was decommissioned in 1864, prior to the post-Civil War setting of the series.) 3. The attacking tribesmen are Comanches - if in California, far outside their traditional Texas-Oklahoma range; Paiutes are more adjacent. 4. Reference is made to "going over the Washoe Mountains, to the mining camps" - which would indicate position in California on the west side of the Washoes with Reno, Nevada on the eastern side, though getting up to the Washoes is a long drive from southern to northeastern California. Based on the above, best guess is that the train has turned away from Los Angeles and is proceeding up the Los Angeles-Stockton Road toward Fort Tejon.
