Second of five color episodes of Wagon Train during the fifth season as part of NBC's all-color nights which included the Joey Bishop Show and It's a Man's World to promote parent RCA's color television sets. However, in re-runs the episode is generally shown in black-and-white.
This is the second of three appearances by Carolyn Jones in the series.
Wagon Train Tracker: Geographic references are abundant but largely unhelpful. Mention is made of "Kirbyville" (East Texas), "Palmer Falls" (NY), and "Dawson" (Canada). Plus, the date is given as March 1868 - one year earlier than the documented one in the Season 5 opener and abnormally early for wagon train to be making the transcontinental trip, much less be entering the Rockies. But, depicted terrain is shown as the Rockies, so place the train in the foothills east of South Pass, Wyoming.
