This is where the season stops making sense

I hate it when TV series throw curveballs or plot twists at you just for the sake of doing so because people these days think that the more plot twists a show has, the better it is regardless of whether those plot twists make sense or add anything to the story or not.

This episode marks that point for the second season of this show where they are totally jumping the shark, adding plot twist after plot twist just for the sake of doing so without really considering if it fits into the story or if it makes any sense at all.

"Hey just throw in 5-6 curveballs and people will love it because there is nothing people love more than curveballs"

All of a sudden we are being told that the baseball player is now a major suspect in the bus crash and everyone in the town hates him and his daughter for it without any explanation as to why or how he became the suspect. He just "is" a suspect and everyone suddenly buys that. Of course this is just another "plot twist" device that will be overturned by another "plow twist" device in coming episodes but none of that will make any sense either.
