Cracking storyline, an intriguing mystery.

A handsome German man named Wolf Müller is killed in his bed, shot at six times, one of said shots proved fatal, Van Der Valk discovers there are plenty of plausible suspects.

I thought this was another great episode, I really did enjoy the story, the atmosphere and great set of characters.

I did chuckle, Pete is looking for a neurotic woman, an incredibly neurotic woman no less. I was wrong, not the outcome I was expecting.

I'm not too sure at this stage about the new sidekick, he's like an adult version of Harry Potter, Joanna Dunham was definitely good as Arlette, I liked her additional input.

Lorna Heilbron is perfectly cast as Magda, she's quite beautiful, she has that ivory skin and beautiful voice, terrific casting. James Grout and Sam Dastor were excellent also, once again, the only issue for me, is Nigel Stock, I just don't think he's right.

8/10.

Van der valk is balancing his intuition with the forensic clues in this episode.

Wolf is a young man from Germany who has been living in Amsterdam for a year. He might be a bit of a gigolo.

The episode opens with Wolf being shot. Van der Valk thinks it was a deranged woman. There were several shots fired, some missing wildly. The gun was left behind.

Suspects include a prostitute and a drug addict as some money was also missing.

It was good to see Van der Valk discussing the case with forensic experts. He even discusses the case with Arlette as well, different types of perfumes.

There is a lot of misdirection left behind by the killer which makes this unusual.
