Ashley and Berg compete for a residency appointment and take Pete and Irene to the dinner where the decision will be made. It's Sharon and Johnny's anniversary, but he must stay at the fire station that night, so she sneaks in.

Irene is still upset at Berg for kissing Katie; however, Berg manages to convince her to go to a residency-appointment dinner with him. Ashley needs a man to act as her husband for the same dinner and asks Pete to go with her. She tries to sabotage Irene by buying her an inappropriate dress, but she turns out to be the hit of the party. It is Sharon and Johnny's anniversary and she has everything organized, but since he must stay at the fire station for the night, she sneaks in so they can celebrate.—jem
