Plot

To the chagrin of his wife Cindy, fading baseball star Ed Hamner sees an uncanny resemblance between himself and Monte Hanks, a fellow baseball player who has the same stats as Ed but lived 78 years ago.

Ed Hamler is a broken down baseball player who hasn't lost his love of the game. A young fan finds a special baseball card that looks just like Ed, and gives it to him. The card transports him back to 1910 and he becomes Monty Hanks, the injury gone, and he can play. In the present, his wife want him to get a job, and things conflict with the timing of games in the past. Ed is then torn between the present and the past.
