Russell Green's brother John Green leaves from the airport to run away from the aftermath of an automobile accident which killed a father and son. The widow becomes an alcoholic and Monica is a substitute teacher to her remaining son. The widow's son builds a school project out of her liquor bottles. Monica tries to get the widow to pay attention to her son. The episode concludes with a statement that says that the episode is to be continued. Evidently the ending is in an episode in the series "the promised land" which is a spin off of "touched by an angel"
