- For the comedy segment, Ed first admits to wearing a tie he had been given to pass on to Johnny but had not. Then Johnny reads proverbs from around the world, collected in a book sent to him. He then reads additional proverbs that the book left out. Linda Monteleone is the defending champion of the pancake flipping race in Lake Havasu, Arizona. She is wearing an Elizabethan-style dress, since the contest requires a long dress. She explains the history of the event; pancake racing originated in England 500 years before, and the contest in Lake Havasu is to celebrate the anniversary of the London Bridge being moved to Arizona. She and Johnny then have a race, which she wins. Afterwards Ed gives Johnny the tie they discussed earlier. Peter Falk first lauds Donald Pleasance's appearance on an episode of "Columbo". He talks about the Columbo character being distracted, not playing dumb. A clip of him with Donald Pleasance is shown. They talk about the show being shown internationally. Johnny then has Falk try on various new trench coats, since the current one is looking old. Robert Klein does a stand-up comedy routine. During the interview, he and Johnny talk about how audiences can affect how they deliver a stand-up routine. Victoria Principal first talks about why she cut her hair shorter - she feels confident enough to be sexy without long hair. Later she says the shorter hair has made her feel more "womanly". She talks a bit about her film "The Naked Ape" and appearing in Playboy the previous month - though not fully nude. She then says she stopped smoking (two packs per day) and drinking after her previous appearance on "The Tonight Show". Johnny asks about jobs before acting; she worked as a carhop and sold shoes, though she doesn't like feet. She then tells how she once dated a lifeguard because he had attractive feet, but since he wore shoes on the date it wasn't the same.—lenab9011
