Maybe this would be better if I knew more about the TV series version of the 1949 Orson Welles film noir classic that stars Michael Rennie. When he boards a plane, he finds himself surrounded by a bunch of odd people including the very friendly Suzanne Pleshette who is obviously up to something. She's just too friendly for a young woman from a small town flying for the first time, and her light-hearted manner is aggressively annoying. He's going overseas on assignment to find a mysterious castle, but in a very confusing manner, is told first it doesn't exist and then when he sends a telegram to the person who hired him (Raymond Bailey), he's told it does exist. Pleshette seems to be following him everywhere, so it's no shock when she shows up at the castle he does find with a gun. But what is she really up to? Watching this, then rewinding the DVD, I'm still not sure. Great to see a young Pleshette, but it's too bad that it's in a story that left me with more questions than answers. Interesting to note that the director was a young Arthur Hiller.
