Synopsis

  • Bob and Midge plan to have a second wedding, intending for Donna to write their vows, but she doesn't know how to put them into words. Bob has suggested stuff like "Midge, you are as thin as when I first married you", "Wedding is a nice way to spend the day with Midge". Donna is happy when her parents announce they'll renew their wedding vows, although the whole ceremony is to be in loud Packers team colors (green and gold). Bob offers $20 and a meatball sub to Hyde to be the wedding photographer. Kelso is worried that Jackie will get wedding fever. Jackie has very specific plans for her wedding. She wants Kelso to know how to dance, no trampolines, and she has even picked out crockery patterns.

Donna is angry that her parents are not taking the vows seriously. She says that Bob and Midge almost for divorced and are now getting back together. She thinks that the vows don't mean anything to her parents. She ends up believing Eric: their love is true, it's up to her to phrase it appropriately. He tells her to write her own version of wedding vows.

While Red grudgingly accepts to be best man, Kitty is so disappointed Midge didn't ask her as one of the three bridesmaids. Kitty was only asked to bring chairs. Kitty never got to be a bridesmaid at the wedding of her friends. The 3 chosen ones are Bong girls Barbara (Maud Adams), Holly (Kristina Wayborn) and Honor (Barbara Carrera).

Leo, whom Hyde subcontracted as photographer (Hyde tells Leo that he has a glass eye and hence cannot look through the viewfinder. He pays Leo $10 and half a meatball sub), goes to have sex with bridesmaid Holly, Kitty grabs her chance to be the bridesmaid, and grabs the green-gold dress through the closet. Kelso proves to Jackie he isn't as clueless about the two of them as she thinks he is. After the fire Kelso gets yelled at by both his lovers but ends up proving his romantic value to Jackie. Kelso keeps asking her why she is mad at him, but Jackie would keep stonewalling him. So, Kelso gets her a purple and pink China plate with a unicorn, just like what she wanted at her wedding. This proves to Jackie that Kelso knows her and forgives him.

The ceremony starts. Kitty, as the maid of Honor, brings in Midge. Bob and Midge exchange vows written by Donna. Donna looks at Eric the whole time during the vows. Afterward it inspires here to take the next step with Eric. She takes Eric up to his room. She tells Eric that when she wrote about vows, she had to think of love, and she thought of Eric. She is now ready to have sex with him. Donna is sure this time and the duo proceed to have sex on Eric's bed.

Maud Adams guest-starred appearing as a bridesmaid to Tanya Roberts (portraying Midge), along with Kristina Wayborn (her Octopussy co-star) and Barbara Carrera; all four share the title of Bond girl.
