- The gang boys are missing their pranks and even Hyde is getting used to his job with his dad. Eric realizes that he hasn't participated in many pranks with the gang boys and soon he will be old enough not to enjoy them.
The original prank is to trench a back yard of old man Shinsky, by putting a car in gear, pump up the gas, release the clutch and tear the backyard. Bored Eric decides to invent the moon and trench. Eric decides to moon the owner of the house first and agrees that being such a slow runner he should do it without his pants. Else he runs the risk of tripping over while running back to the car after mooning.
Eric chooses Donna as his first lieutenant, over Kelso, which offends him. Eric reminds Kelso that when the boys put eggs in sister Mary Catherine's mail slot, he was supposed to be the getaway driver, and when the time came to get away, Kelso had gone to eat ice-cream. When the car won't start (since Eric dropped his transmission) everybody abandons him, Kelso even takes his pants. Eric can't leave as he has to stay with the car.
Eric begs the officer not to call his dad. But now that he is over 18, the police throw him in jail. Donna visits Eric in jail, but still forgot to bring pants. Kelso on police jail duty fully promises the criminal cruel revenge of the law. But Kelso is also identified by the house owner and slammed in the same cell. The police officer says that a few hours in the cell will give Kelso a new respect for the law. Eric comes back home without pants and Red is furious and vows to paint the pants on Eric, since he cannot seem to keep them on.
Hyde feels that he was left out, he completes the trenching job and joins Kelso in the jail cell. Hyde did Shinsky's rose bushes too as that's his calling card. Hyde finally feels at home in the jail cell.
Hyde has to miss the fun since he presents his pa to everyone at Kitty's otherwise pointless, self confidence-boosting party. Midge and Bob enter the house fighting with each other. Kitty says that she was reading Cosmo and realized that she had low esteem. The article suggested throwing a party to celebrate herself. Kitty has boring games such as pairing random people together and to get them to tell funny anecdotes about her, to each other. Red realizes that he and Kitty have run out of things to say to each other ad the spice has gone out of their marriage.
Bob is jealous that Midge is spending time with William, so Midge is offended and locks herself in Red's bathroom. Kitty is angry as she wanted the party to be about herself and now everyone is fixating on Midge. Bob goes in after Midge into the bathroom, and soon he and Midge start having sex in Red's bathroom. The next day, Kitty wants to have sex with Red in the bathroom.
