Unlike the "Titans Go!" battle cry from this animated series, the Teen Titans' battle cry in the comic book series was "Titans Together!" - which is the title of this episode.
There was a great deal of discussion about Jericho and how the creative team might be able to use him - and whether he was worthy of an episode. They agreed he's an interesting character - but it would be difficult to focus a whole episode on him. Since Jericho uses sign language, there were concerns that wouldn't animate well. Producer Glen Murakami said, "Jericho is kind of an odd character. He's sort of a wimpy character. So we wanted to try and make him cool." They wanted to do justice to the character, but it just didn't work out to center a whole episode around him. But did decide to use Jericho in this episode.
Kid Flash and Jinx return in this episode; Jinx has reformed following the events seen in Lightspeed (2005).
This storyline also shares some similarities with the "Titans Hunt" storyline (from "The New Titans" #71-84). The evil Wildebeest Society captured the Titans one by one; It was up to Nightwing (former Robin) and his new allies - Pantha, Phantasm, Arella, Red Star, Deathstroke (Slade) and Mento - to save them all.
