Well, actually, I enjoyed this small western; but oh yeah, it was nothing but talk. Still, the script had enough "punch" to keep me watching.
Of course, I'd be less than truthful if I didn't admit that it was the presence of Clint Eastwood in his first western that kept me going. He only has a few lines.....appearing in two scenes....but he acquitted himself well. Even at this early date, his character was a "Clint" character through and through. Even as a lowly Lieutenant, he gave as good as had to take from his superior.
It was certainly worth watching; and it is very, very true that they just don't make them like this anymore.
