The editing at the end of this is absolutely bonkers. Jenny shoots a guard and then charges in on horseback with the guard that she shot looking for Charles throws her gun at Charles knocks him out, they're arrested and then everyone hugs and they leave on good terms! Crackers.
Charles reacts with cynicism when Professor Miedel cites the Marxist principle, "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need". However, in more than one previous episode Charles defended the same principle as the model on which his community of Whitecross was run.
