Right before the credits roll (48:45), Hutch and Starsky come out of the office of Vice Captain Joe Naar to catch Captain Dobey breaking his diet. Joseph T. Naar was the producer of the episode.
The playful Starsky-Hutch banter revolves around astrology, in this title, including the end tag involving Captain Dobey and his diet.
"Mr. Roper" had appeared the previous week, and this one features Jack, aka John Ritter: the entire cast of 3's Company appeared in this show, minus the brunette roommate. Suzanne Sommers would soon make a couple (or more) appearances.
Kristy McNichol appears as another character in season two's Starsky and Hutch: Little Girl Lost (1976) and
season three's Starsky and Hutch: The Trap (1978).
This is Jean Hagen's comeback to acting after a thirteen year absence. She was in a remission from cancer at this point. She died in 1977.
