- Jonas Quinn: How'd ya learn to drive?
- Teal'c: It was Daniel Jackson that instructed me.
- Jonas Quinn: Oh, when was that?
- Teal'c: I believe the year was 1969.
- Major Samantha Carter: It's a fake. All the mimic devices were switched.
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: Someone duplicated the duplicators?
- Major Samantha Carter: The last recorded test of those devices was six months ago. They could've been taken any time after that.
- Jonas Quinn: There has got to be some way that we can use this to clear you.
- Colonel Jack O'Neill: I don't think the "alien technology defense" is gonna fly.
- [Teal'c walks into the interrogation room and sits down, never taking his eyes off of Dr. Langham]
- Dr. Langham: Look, this is a waste of time. I got nothin' to say.
- [Teal'c continues to stare at him]
- Dr. Langham: Okay, yes. I took the mimic devices. I switched them with the fakes. But I didn't know what they were planning to do with them.
- [Teal'c continues to stare at him]
- Dr. Langham: What? You think I'm part of some kind of murder conspiracy? Well, you're wrong.
- [Teal'c raises an eyebrow and leans slightly towards him]
- Dr. Langham: Alright, I'll tell ya what I know, but you have to promise me protection.
- Major General George Hammond: I understand this man had some injuries when you brought him in.
- Teal'c: Dr. Langham was reluctant to accompany us back to the SGC. He required some convincing.
- Major General George Hammond: All I'm saying is that we have to be careful. We're operating way outside our jurisdiction, and like it or not, this man has rights.
- Teal'c: He will volunteer the information. Of that I'm certain.
- Major General George Hammond: If these people are as powerful as you say they are, there's probably nowhere on Earth you'd be safe. Fortunately, we have other options.
- Major Samantha Carter: OK, what is this?
- Agent Malcolm Barrett: The rifle used to kill Senator Kinsey was not one you pick up at your local sporting goods store. This is a one-stop shop for unregistered weapons. High-end goods, professional clientele. There's a chance our shooter was here.
- Major Samantha Carter: Why don't you shut them down?
- Agent Malcolm Barrett: I let them operate in exchange for information. Sometimes you gotta cross the line. You just gotta know when to step back.
- Agent Malcolm Barrett: [Entering building] Hey, Leo.
- Major Samantha Carter: Leo.
- Luthor: Agent Barrett. When are you gonna get yourself a new suit?
- Agent Malcolm Barrett: Black is good for any occasion.
- Luthor: It's also thinning. Who's your friend?
- Agent Malcolm Barrett: Major Samantha Carter, United States Air Force. We can talk in front of her.
- Luthor: What can I do for you?
- Agent Malcolm Barrett: We wanna know about a 700 with a customized breakdown stock
- Luthor: Yeah? I moved one last week.
- Major Samantha Carter: In all likelihood, the weapon you sold was used to assassinate a US senator.
- Luthor: What's your point?
- Agent Malcolm Barrett: Was the buyer a regular customer?
- Luthor: No, I never seen him before.
- Agent Malcolm Barrett: Is that the guy?
- Luthor: That's the guy.
- Major Samantha Carter: Did he look at any other weapons besides the 700?
- Luthor: As a matter of fact, he did. A sound- suppressed revolver rifle.
- Major Samantha Carter: Did he handle it?
- Luthor: Sure.
- Major Samantha Carter: Was he wearing gloves?
- Luthor: No.
- Major Samantha Carter: Has anybody handled it since?
- Luthor: No, just Leo here.
- Major Samantha Carter: How much?
- Luthor: [smiles approvingly]
- Major Samantha Carter: [Later in Carter's hotel room, looking at a computer file] There's one full set of prints and one partial, but neither of them match Colonel O'Neill.
- Senator Robert Kinsey: [to Colonel Jack O'Neill, after finally convincing him to shake his hand at a press conference] Smile, Colonel, you just won my reelection.
