- SG-1 arrives on a planet and helps a very scared man who is fleeing, only to find it's a criminal on the run. The technologically far superior authorities beam them all to a closed court-room in Thor's style, where they are given a swift trial: for aiding and abetting the murderer, even unknowing, they must share in his fate- life banishment to a penal colony planet, which is almost instantly executed. An attempted diplomatic intervention by general Hammond fails. Life in the penal colony is hard, brutal, apparently the law of the strongest, driving some to suicide. A literal pecking order is seen when the disgusting feed arrives by star-gate into a trough, with giant Vishnoor first in line among the ruffians holding bowls. Yet even he gives way to the mysterious Linea, who grants the team members her protection after a single duel against the giant, which she was too late to prevent Daniel from incurring. Even better, Linea masters superior technology, both medical and in producing nuclear fusion energy from her pot plants. Collaborating with the team's knowledge of addresses, this proves enough to use the stargate to escape back home. However, on the starbase it becomes gradually clear that amiable Linea has a secret dark side, not nearly as innocent as she pretended.—KGF Vissers
- The SG-1 team travels to a new planet but on arrival are approached by a prison escapee. They haven't done anything but are quickly arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment for aiding the escape of a murderer. They are again sent through the gate to a prison planet with no dial home device and no apparent way of getting away. One of the prisoners on the planet is Linea, a scientist who was imprisoned after trying - and failing - to stop a vicious infection. She shows Samantha a source of great power, giving Daniel an idea on how they might get away. With his team in prison, General Hammond pleads their case and tries to get them released. When the team makes it back to Earth with Linea, they realize she hasn't been truthful about the reasons for her imprisonment.—garykmcd
- Jack, Sam, Daniel and Teal'c arrive on a planet where there is only jungle. Out of the blue, they are hit by a light and sentenced to life in a dangerous prison on another planet for helping a criminal. However, they are helped by the prisoner Linea, who is feared by the prisoners and controls them. Soon, the SG-1 teams up with Linea to escape from prison. Meanwhile, the SG-3 and General Hammond try to negotiate the release of the SG-1, but their captors are inflexible.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
