Richard Dean Anderson and Willie Garson in Stargate SG-1 (1997)

Goofs

Point of No Return

Stargate SG-1

Edit

Continuity

Although the SGC has been using the Beta Stargate discovered in Antarctica since Small Victories (2000), the point of origin of the Alpha Stargate is clearly visible as opposed to the point of origin of the Beta Stargate that was previously seen in Solitudes (1998).

Revealing mistakes

In the restaurant, there is a stuffed turkey vulture; this is a US Federally protected bird under the migratory bird treaty act; only government or educational facilities are allowed under US Federal law to possess feathers of protected birds; a US restaurant probably would not be allowed to own (or least display) one today. Note, however, that the actual filming location was a restaurant in Vancouver, BC, Canada, outside US Federal jurisdiction.

Plot holes

It is never explained how Martin knew Jack's name, that the Stargate was discovered in Egypt or that it was located in Cheyenne Mountain.

Boom mic visible

The shadow of a microphone boom is briefly visible on the van's (open) right rear door. It occurs after Teal'c rips the duct tape off of Martin's mouth.

Character error

(at around 12 mins) When the man looks at Teal'c with thermal imaging revealing the Goa'uld in his abdomen, the shape of the Goa'uld's head is large like that of an adult. The Goa'uld Teal'c carries is an infant, and the head should be much smaller, and a different shape.
