- Daniel and Vala have used the Ancient device to inhabit the bodies of people in the Alterans' home galaxy. They have been taken by a Prior of the Ori to meet the Doci, one who speaks with the Ori, their gods. Daniel surmises that the Ori are what the Alterans who became the Ancients left behind and have ascended in a similar fashion, but without the restrictions.—trekkie4christ
- Using the Ancients' communication stones, Vala and Daniel continue to occupy the bodies of two people on a distant planet. They are rescued by a prior to the Ori and are taken to the city of the gods. Daniel learns something about their religion - fire is of key importance - and subsequently meets the Doci, who is able to communicate directly with the Ori. Daniel determines that the Ori were once Alterans - the group that later became known as the Ancients - but ascended in a different way. They also believe in their mission - to have everyone in the universe recognize them as their god - or die. At the SGC, Dr. Lam and Dr. Lee have been trying to break the communications link, but with little success. SG-1, meanwhile, comes across an Ori Prior who is now preaching their religion in our galaxy.—garykmcd
- Daniel and Vala are taken by a Prior of the Ori to meet the Doci in the bodies of Harrid and Sallis. Daniel challenges the Doci and then they are returned to the village as bait to catch unbelievers. Meanwhile, Landry has a meeting with the new Jaffa leader, Gerak, and they are surprised by another Prior of the Ori that promotes his god.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- The Ori Prior concludes the whole village may be tainted after Daniel and Vala 'Harrid and Sallis' were found in league with heretic Fannis, who is later caught returning to show them the alien finds. Using his old and new knowledge from the book, Daniel gets a meeting with the Doci, chief Ori on the planet, who proves immune to his theological, moral and rational reasoning, just refers to the flames allowing direct conversation with the Ori, ascended by amoral, who stick by their inflexible demand to be universally revered, any refusal warranting destruction, as is now planned for our own galaxy, which already is visited by Priors. One is at the SGC, where his arrival complicates General Landry's uncomfortable reception of the new Jaffa chief, Gerak, to another planet P3X-421, where SG-1 is sent. Meanwhile, the unsolvable medical problem is circumvented by sending the Alteran device to the planet, which indeed liberates Daniel and Vala's minds.—KGF Vissers
