Richard Lynch in Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987)

Goofs

Gambit, Part II

Star Trek: The Next Generation

Edit

Continuity

With Data assuming command, La Forge should be first officer, not Worf. He outranks Worf, and since he has served in the position before (under Riker in Redemption II (1991) and has taken command himself (in The Arsenal of Freedom (1988)), he's certified as a bridge officer.

Factual errors

With Data's promotion to first officer after the supposed death of Picard, his position in command means he should be wearing a red uniform instead of the gold one he normally wears, just as he did in Chain Of Command, Part II (1992). However, he keeps wearing his gold uniform throughout Gambit.
Ronald B. Moore is mistakenly credited with an initial "D" in the end credits. This confuses him with writer and producer Ronald D. Moore.

Revealing mistakes

At around 12:22, obvious makeup line on Commander Data's face. The back and bottom of his neck and the area of his head behind his ears either don't have makeup applied, or just have the makeup base and not the golden, sparkly makeup that the rest of Data's face usually has.

Plot holes

Character error

At the beginning of the episode, Lt. Worf says the Enterprise has been hit on its port warp nacelle, but we see it hit on the starboard nacelle.
