Renée Jones in Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987)

Goofs

Aquiel

Star Trek: The Next Generation

Edit

Continuity

When Aquiel is brought into the observation lounge by the Klingons she has a cut on her forehead, with a blood stain on her uniform below the cut, and another cut on her left arm and a torn sleeve. At the end of the scene, LaForge escorts her out of the room and takes her to his quarters to reunite her with her dog. When she arrives at his quarters the cut on her forehead and the blood stain is gone, and the sleeve is repaired.
Lieutenant Rocha's first name is mentioned as Keith by Aquiel a few times and written as such on his personnel file. When Geordi accesses Rocha's personal log in the remastered version, his first name is shown on the screen as Kevin.

Revealing mistakes

At time stamp 4:32, the monitor La Forge is showing to Riker displays the text "Encryption Protcol [sic] Activity Log" at the top of the screen, with the (accidental) omission of one of the 'o's in "protocol."

Audio/visual unsynchronised

When La Forge finally retrieves Rocha's personal logs, he asks the computer about the log entries for stardate 46459 but the computer displays log entries for stardate 45459.

Plot holes

Consistently throughout the show's 7 seasons, when approaching abandoned ships or stations, one of the first things the Enterprise crew does (even before boarding them) is scan them for life signs. They appear not to have done so here, since when they hear (what Geordi thinks is) a loose panel, there is no urgency to their finding the cause of the noise, which they would have known if they had scanned for life signs and found one still aboard the station.

Boom mic visible

Reflection visible on the video screen as Geordi reviews Aquiel's personal logs.
