Rene Auberjonois and Mark Allen Shepherd in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993)

Goofs

Who Mourns for Morn?

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Edit

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

After Quark suggested to split the 1000 Bricks of Latinum five ways, one of the aliens said 250 bricks each. One thousand divided five ways is two hundred. However, this shows how "slow" the alien is as referenced by his brother in the cargo bay. This is also confirmed by Hain's and Lorell's facial reactions when he says it.

Revealing mistakes

When Quark is avoiding the phaser fire of the thieves, he jumps into the container that has 1000 bricks of gold (sans latinum). It visibly shifts. But that much gold would be so heavy, it wouldn't have budged.

Miscellaneous

It's long been accepted that Star Trek, as a whole, plays fast and loose with the 'rules' of the Universal Translator--but Quark speaking French to Odo (neither of whom, presumably, are even speaking English to each other)--is a whole new level of strange.

Character error

Dax tells Worf that she used to have a crush on Morn, but "he wasn't interested." In Progress (1993), Dax tells Kira that Morn asked her to dinner but she declined.
