Goofs

A Man Alone

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Edit

Continuity

It is established that the murder occurred on stardate 46384, a stardate which is earlier than the last log entry of the pilot "Emissary", stardate 46393.1.
In this episode, Odo says he has to revert to his natural liquid form to regenerate every 18 hours. But afterward, the time changes to 16 hours.

Revealing mistakes

When Odo's office was vandalized, the word "Shifter" was etched into the wall in English. But because Bajorans were the majority, and universal translators affect only speech and not text, the graffiti should have been in Bajoran.

Miscellaneous

In this, his first appearance on the series after the pilot, Aron Eisenberg's (Nog) opening credit is misspelled as "Aron Eisenerg". The typo is fixed in some later releases.

Character error

Quark defends Odo, claiming that as his worst enemy, he's the closest thing "in this world" he has to a friend. But Quark and Odo live on a space station.
