¿Sabías que...?
- CuriosidadesAccording to Trey Parker & Matt Stone, the idea for this episode came from when they were so tied up in the production of Team America: La policía del mundo (2004) that they had absolutely no idea what to write for South Park. The final scene is a parody of one of their writers meetings.
- PifiasWhile announcing the sports results, Kyle mentions that the girl's basketball team lost because one girl couldn't play because her father was on a business trip in Thailand. Cartman says that the "Cows are 6 and 0 since Kelly's father left on that trip". That would imply 6 wins and 0 losses, not the other way around. He should have said "the cows are 0 and 6 since Kelly's father left on that trip".

Eric Cartman: And now here with the celebrity watch is Butters Stotch. Butters, seen any celebrities?
Butters: N-no, not yet. I've been standing out in front of the school for about two hours now and I haven't seen any celebrities. About 30 minutes ago I thought I saw Sigourney Weaver, but it turned out to be a dead horse.

Pretty funny
Quest For Ratings had some funny moments, but was just an average episode of SP, nothing special. There is a fairly cool hallucination scene though. The boys have a kids news show, however they have a fear of getting canceled due to Craig's new show which is "Animals close up with a wide angle lens", the boys have to revamp their news show to compete with the ratings, so they make up a bunch of fake news stories and change their image, however, Craig makes another show which is the same as his old one, only the animals have hats now.The boys need to come up with another idea yet again, so they go buy cough syrup, take it and then start hallucinating. They watch Craig's show while high and think it's the best thing ever. They then realize that most of the school is high on cough syrup and make a big news story about it.The episode has funny moments and is pretty good, just nothing special. It is interesting how the episode is an accurate portrayal of a news team.
