- Kyle and Stan fight over what to name a man they found frozen in ice from 1996. Meanwhile, the government attempts to steal the frozen man.
- While hunting through the woods, Kyle falls down a hole and discovers a man frozen in ice. They take the ice man, whom they name Steve, to Dr. Mephisto to study. Mephisto thaws the man out, only to discover that he is still alive, having been kept perfectly preserved since the distant past of 1996. Steve is kept at Mephisto's lab in an environment recreating his native surroundings, but the boys think he should be free. Even so, can a man from 1996 ever comprehend the world of 1999?—Jean-Marc Rocher <rocher@fiberbit.net>
- After watching Steve Irwin on television, the boys (led by Cartman) decide to go look for crocodiles. During the search, Kyle ends up falling into a cave. After Stan goes down to get him, the two discover a man frozen in ice.
The boys then take the ice man back to town, hoping to get a reward for finding it. However, a rift develops between Kyle and Stan over who actually found the ice man. Upon arriving in town, the only one who shows an interest in the ice man is Dr Mephisto. Mephisto allows the two to name the ice man, and selects Stan's name of 'Steve,' leaving Kyle upset that his name of 'Gorak' was not chosen.
Mephisto and his assistant Kevin thaw out the ice man, and due to his clothing appearing to be from Eddie Bauer, deduces that the ice man was frozen in the year 1996. Eventually, the ice man is revived and begins to speak, however, noone can understand him (even though he is speaking English). Stan and Kyle are recruited to talk to him, and translate, but not before some men from the government appear. They then help Mephisto see that the ice man can be a lucrative business venture, and set him up for display.
Stan and Kyle sneak in late one night to free the ice man, who reveals to them that his name is actually Larry. However, the two are still upset over whose name (Steve or Gorak) is better.
Larry manages to get out, and returns to his former home. There he finds his wife, who has since remarried and had kids. Feeling that he can't survive in the world of the future, Larry attempts to freeze himself again.
In hopes to deter this, Kyle explains to Larry that he has an alternative: they can send him to Des Moines, IA, where fashion, technology, and everything is 2 years behind, just like him.
The boys attempt to get Larry on a train, but not before the government officials, Mephisto, Cartman and Steve Irwin give chase. Eventually, Steve makes a getaway in a helicopter, with the government officials letting slip that they had intended to use the ice man to try and take over Sweden.
