When Anthony Jr. goes to visit Livia at the hospital she comically complains to him, while watching Emril Lagasse, that he doesn't wash his hands when cooking. In a later episode of his cooking show Lagasse made it an obvious point to wash his hands hoping that the mean lady from the Sopranos would now leave him alone.
After the scene where Janice is visiting her mother, Janice is seen lighting up a joint while driving and singing. You can see the time on her right-hand wristwatch which reads, 4:20.
When talking to Janice about Livia moving in with her, Tony says it would be like "Whatever happened to baby Janice?". This is a reference to the 1962 film "Whatever happened to baby Jane?", about a wheelchaired woman who moves in with her sister.
First appearance of Steven R. Schirripa as Bobby 'Bacala' Baccalieri.
This is the only episode directed by the major "Sopranos" staffer Martin Bruestle, who produced or co-produced every one of the series's 86 episodes.
