Horny
Rrrobert8 February 2021
A good episode. Dinah Manoff (Elaine) contributes a well-done tender scene.

The comedy highlight is Mary, Jessica, Corinne, Eunice in the Tate kitchen. None are getting any sex and are comfort eating - then proceed to demolish the cake Mary has baked.

Episode 32
kevinolzak25 April 2010
Episode 32 begins with Chester still in the hospital, not recognizing his wife, and believing Dr.Kanter(in his last appearance)is a butcher("the lamb chops were fatty!"),which Benson agrees with. When the doctor leaves to perform another operation,Benson hopes it's not a vasectomy! Carol accepts Jodie's marriage proposal, and introduces him to her overprotective father "Boomer" David(Michael Conrad),who is aware that Jodie is gay and threatens to "knock his teeth down his throat" if his princess ever brings "that faggot around." Elaine confesses her love to Danny, and the reasons for her bad behavior: her loving sister was killed at 16,and her father wished that it had been Elaine instead.Burt tells Mary that he works so hard because his father was a beaten man, failing to succeed with all his many dreams, and Burt doesn't want to end up the same way.Sally threatens to quit because she's in love with Burt, but he convinces her to stay since she's a terrific secretary.Jessica,Mary,Corinne, and Eunice share their depression in the Tate kitchen, and Corinne describes Jessica's symptoms as just being "horny," which Jessica thinks is a funny word(she just doesn't know what it means).Corinne has gained six pounds since her wedding,as the death of Tim's mother also ended any intimacy between them, and Eunice is five ponds heavier waiting on Dutch.Mary reveals that she enjoys sex in the mornings, and confesses that sex with her first husband "was like a news bulletin: brief, unexpected, and usually a disaster!" Eunice admits she likes it in the dark, while Corinne admits she likes to see a person's face, which confuses Jessica("I don't think it really matters where you do it,just so long as you do it well!")

I can't get enough of this show, wonderful.

Carol takes Jodie out to dinner, to introduce him to her father, and Burt's secretary Sally explains that she's in love with him. Chester starts on the road to recovery.

I'll be honest, I had to watch the previous episode a few times over, it's genuinely side splitting, this is perhaps the total opposite, its wonderful, but its one of the more serious episodes, it works so well.

The scene with the girls discussing sex, whilst eating cake around the table, it's a wonderful moment.

Chester is on terrific form once again, that maniacal look on his face is a joy, he's tremendous, I'm still trying to get over that Gloria Swanson line.

Burt delivers some wonderful lines, that moment where he tells Mary about why he wants a better life, it's a terrific scene, it's perhaps trumped by that moment where Elaine talks to Danny about her last, she's won me over.

8/10.
