When Quinn is being attacked by the dogs, they are pulling on his pant legs and sleeves and you hear the sound of tearing cloth, but when he gets up, his pants and shirt are intact.
Quinn is able to locate his house, even though it appears different from previous appearances. In previous episodes, there were other houses nearby. In this episode, it is isolated.
Quinn and his double are often in the same scene. Since Jerry O'Connell doesn't have a twin, the producers use a stand-in for certain scenes. The stand-in is usually the double with long hair, who uses that hair to shield his face from the camera. When the two Quinns are on the run from the boss, the Quinn with short hair is the stand-in, and his face is briefly seen when Maggie opens the door.
The slide wave transported all humans from one world to another. It should've taken animals too, like the dogs that attacked Quinn early in the episode. A dog was able to successfully slide in Luck of the Draw (1995).
