The group lands on a world that is seemingly pleasant until Rembrandt is quickly abducted by thugs in a van. He is taken to a place known as the condos. This concentration camp was designed to house racial minorities who are referred to as migrants even though they were born in America. There is another sinister purpose for this facility that horrifies the group who must expose it. The governor of California, the man who created this racist reality, is running for president. The group is horrified and must do whatever they can to save Rembrandt and expose this racist monster. I was excited to see guest star Shane West as Kirk in this episode long before he hit the big time.
This was truly a heart-stopping episode. I was on the edge of my seat. The white thugs abducting people of color was eerily reminiscent of the Nazi brownshirts during World War II. Their job was to roundup all the undesirables, the racially inferior people in society. This episode aired in 1998, but if it were made today, it would have included LGBT people, Central Americans, and Muslims being taken to the concentration camp. Absolutely terrifying glimpse into the lives of immoral hate-mongers who feel superior to other humans. This was one of the best episodes of the series.
