The Six Million Dollar Man (1974)

Goofs

The Price of Liberty

The Six Million Dollar Man

Edit

Continuity

Steve rips a big piece of the truck's roof-panel upwards, yet in most of the subsequent shots, the roof is flat and apparently intact.
When Steve gives the briefcase full of cash to Robert Myer, the money is in bundles of $100,000 each, but when he falls and spills the cash, there are no bundles, just loose bills.

Factual errors

Actual Liberty Bell is 6 feet in diameter at widest part. This one is nowhere near that wide. It is also 3 feet high in reality.
On real Liberty Bell, Pennsylvania is spelled "Pensylvania". An acceptable spelling at the time it was made. This mock up has it spelled with 2 Ns..
The ransom was delivered in $1000 bills. The US Printing Office ceased production of $1000 bills in 1945, and they were discontinued from service in 1969. At air time (1975,) no bank would have had $1000 bills to give out as they would have been turned in to the Printing Office and destroyed.

Additionally, $5 million in $1000 bills would be 5000 individual bills. The case they are carried in is not nearly large enough to carry that many, and there are certainly not that many bills when they all fall out of the case.

Errors in geography

Despite criminal mastermind Robert Meyer stealing the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia, he holds the Bell hostage in a box truck in an area where the background scenery is obviously mountains in California & desert terrain.
