The Spread (#1.3)

Warning: Spoilers
This episode had some good stories. The main one about the guy who wanted to spread his seeds and raped prostitutes was very good. His arrest was already great with the sperm in the fridge. His integration was also pretty good.Kirk Baltz was pretty goon in this role and Claudette really did well getting the confession out of him.

The story about the basketball player whom Vic keeps away from the play to let his home team win was pretty funny. That was a crazy idea from Vic but he obviously can pull it through.

We also got some developing story lines. Julien being gay, Danni thinking of writing a test for promotion and Vic's kid apparently being mentally disabled. Nothing of these seems too exciting now, but they might do something out of it.

Warning: Spoilers
This is the episode that seemed to get a lot of hate, cause The Strike Team was hijacking a basketball player Derek Tripp and hold him while he misses the game. The best part of this episode is Strike Team not wanting to do warrant sweeps , Vic ends up sending some guy to the police station himself. Strike Team gets to chill on the sofa , Shane gets all heated up by Derek cause he makes every fan pay for a signature , Shane is my favorite hilly billy redneck, proves himself to be hot trashfire I quite enjoy. Okay and let me say Lemansky and Ronnie get to eat pizza ! Since Ronnie was still not a really established character in season 1 , his stache is still legendary !

Case of the week for Dutch and Claudette. Vic hands off a case to Dutchboy to find who attacked Connie Riesler. A good portion of this episode is also the Vic and Connie relationship. Why would Vic help Connie ? That is the establishment of this episode.

Little con to this episode was that I was expecting to see the Vic and Shane confrontation about Terry after the Pilot episode, in this episode it is powerful but appears very late in the episode , but the best part of it is Vic believing a lie of himself not killing Terry. Him believing the lie makes him even more horrific.

Fun stuff in this episode : Dutch dropping the sperm jar, when SWAT breaks into the house ( great camera shots ) , Claudette getting a confession , Vic spraying Julien with a water gun in the beginning, Danny busting the gun deal with Julien.
