  Vic Mackey : It was easy, all right? No fuss, no victims. I was clearing twice as many cases as anyone here. I worked my ass off, I knew I was making a difference, so I took some for me. Me. City got their money's worth. Trust me. But that was then. I'm not the same person now.

  Rebecca Doyle : Why? Because you got caught?

  Vic Mackey : Because I wanna still be a cop. Because I don't wanna be smeared and pushed out of my job by the same people who patted me on my back every time I brought some murdering rapist asshole in here. Because I can do better. But if I'm gonna have a second chance, I'm gonna need your help to get it.
