- Tyler: So, are you going to help me?
- Matt Cutter: I have a business in these parts. A bombing run won't help my standing in the community, will it?
- [vultures are circling overhead]
- Yozkov: What is it? They've never seen vultures before?
- Mbato: Birds always appear before the Darakna strikes.
- Yozkov: It's nothing but superstition. I don't want to hear any more about it.
- Mbato: You can call it superstition if you want. Whenever the Darakna's around, people wind up missing. People wind up dead!
- Tyler: What's with you and Jungle Girl?
- Matt Cutter: Nothin'. We're just friends.
- Tyler: Come on, Cutter. You expect me to believe that?
- Matt Cutter: I don't care what you believe.
- Tyler: Well, I know you. You're in for every oddball in a skirt. Come to think of it, she's just your type.
- Matt Cutter: Oh? What type is that?
- Tyler: The type that will break your heart.
- Sheena: The animals kill in the jungle, but none are trained to do it. The rogues - they kill for pleasure, but...
- Matt Cutter: Well, I guess that's what we are, Tyler and me - rogues for our government. Trained rogues. I was good... I was real good. I could hit a dime at 400 paces. Tyler was my spotter. He's give me a clear signal when our target was in view. This one time our target was coming out of a hotel. Tyler didn't have a clear view. He told me to shoot it at my discretion. I had to move fast. I thought my lanes were clear and "ba-boom". The target got in a car and drove off - but the grocery clerk who was buying flowers for his wife, he was dead.
- Sheena: At your discretion? That means you could have chosen not to shoot, right?
- Matt Cutter: Tyler should never have given me the choice.
- Sheena: He didn't. Cutter, there's a difference between giving a choice and making a choice.
- [the satellite suddenly starts ticking]
- Tyler: Cutter! Get over here!
- Matt Cutter: What the hell did you do?
- Tyler: The wrong thing!
- Matt Cutter: What's the matter?
- Tyler: I can't get it. Here.
- [Tyler hands Cutter a small cylinder]
- Matt Cutter: What's this?
- Tyler: Remote control. If I can't get this locked down, get 20 yards between us and ba-boom.
- Matt Cutter: No. Forget it.
- Tyler: No discussion! If we can't hold our position, you take it out.
- Matt Cutter: And you with it?
- Tyler: I mean it, Cutter. No discussion! You got no choice.
- Matt Cutter: There are always choices!
- Tyler: I just gave you one!... Your discretion.
- Tyler: So, this Sheena - is she one for long goodbyes?
- Matt Cutter: Oh, she's not one for any goodbyes.
- Tyler: Like a cat.
- Matt Cutter: More than you know.
- [last lines]
- Sheena: How can someone live with this in their mind?
- Kali: Perhaps he can't. Perhaps that's why Matt Cutter is here. There's a bit of the warrior in all of us and warriors don't always do good things, but they have to believe their reasons are good. Maybe Cutter came to doubt that.
- Sheena: I want to help, but... what could I do?
- Kali: You did more than you think. You helped him acknowledge it.
