Plot

Carrie is happy back with Aidan but gets a call from Big. Now she has opted for motherhood and society life, Charlotte wants to quit her gallery job and interviews potential successors. Samantha reviles taxi-thieves but still lands in bed with Brad.—KGF Vissers

Aidan and Carrie start having sex regularly. Big calls Carrie-while she's having sex with Aidan. Aidan hears the message Big leaves for her. Aidan is a bit distant and tense after that call. Aidan had moved all to the way to the very edge of the bed, which was a total switch from their usual routine of her cuddling inside the nook of his arm. She glumly tells the girls that she's afraid he'll never forgive her for her Big indiscretion last season.

Charlotte decides to leave the gallery to pursue motherhood full-time. Samantha warns her to be very sure of her decision, because once she gets off "the Ferris wheel", plenty of ruthlessly ambitious young women will be lining up to take her job at the gallery. Trey suggested this and Miranda is mad at this. Charlotte rails about how there's nothing wrong with wanting to raise a baby and help cure AIDS, then orders Miranda to get behind her choice. Charlotte thinks Miranda is being judgmental towards her. Miranda throws her neck out after fighting with Charlotte.

Aidan was at Carrie's apartment, being his dour self. Carrie was trying everything possible to get Aidan to lighten up and share something about his day and make her feel involved in his life. Miranda calls Carrie for help, but she is already late for a meeting with her editor, so Aidan goes to check on Miranda. A naked Miranda is lying face down atop a bathmat on her bathroom floor. Aidan discreetly covers her naked parts with a towel, lifts her up, and carries her out of the bathroom. Aidan is very helpful to Miranda.

Samantha helps Charlotte find her own replacement for the gallery. Charlotte finds someone who a copy of herself.

Carrie comes to say thanks to Aidan for being amazing with Miranda, but he was with another girl (a waitress named Shayna at Steve's bar) and was distant and aloof to Carrie's questions. Carrie knows that Aidan is punishing her for cheating on him and she knows she deserves it. Aidan doesn't come to meet Carrie at her apartment that night.

Carrie walks Aidan's dog, who gets sick and when she gets back to Aidan's furniture store, she finds Aidan with the same girl. Carrie gets mad and tells Aidan to have sex with her, so they can both be bad. Aidan comes over and says that he wants Carrie never to see Big again. But she won't promise that. She admits to making a horrible mistake by cheating on him but insists that he can't keep punishing her and that he has to forgive her. Aidan finally shuts her up by coming inside and hugging her. While Carrie and Aidan were not quite back where they were before the affair, they were in a more honest place. The two cuddle in bed, with Carrie having successfully wormed her way back into the nook.

Samantha's latest guy (who she meets when he tries to steal her cab when she was in a hurry) tells her she needs to shave below the belt. He has her hair stuck between his teeth. Samantha gets the guy to shave his pubic hair as well.
