The cast reading for this episode took place on January 13, 1994, however the filming couldn't take place until February due to the 1994 Northridge earthquake. The production staff considered moving from CBS Studio Center to Paramount Studios but didn't need to as CBS's stage crew spent three weeks putting the stage back together.
