You might think I'm silly because I find all the episodes to be magnificent but this is Seinfeld
zfiany2 July 2009
Jerry is having a pie in the restaurant with his girlfriend but she refuses to share with him and nods in an odd way which drives Jerry crazy trying to know why. Kramer has some kind of itch that Olive who works in the restaurant seems to treat it well with her fingernails. Jerry goes with his girlfriend to her father's restaurant popies. He goes to the toilet and sees popies coming out without washing his hands so when he serves the pizza, Jerry refuses to eat the same way his girlfriend did with the pie. George in the meantime when he goes to see the mannequin that Kramer talked about that looks so much like Elaine finds a suit that is very expensive but will be on sale too soon. However, there is another man who is after the same suit and the game starts (you don't want to miss it, believe you me). Elaine so angry with the sleaze way the mannequin is exhibited, steals it with Jerry's help. Before George goes to the job interview, he discovers that his suit makes a swoosh sound when he moves and he tells Jerry : "Let's say it comes down to me and one other guy. He's got a nice quiet suit, and I'm whooshing all over the place! Who do you think he's gonna hire?" At the end the employer doesn't reject him because of the sound but because George refuses to each with them in the restaurant while they say something like we all share. George only refuses to share with them after he knows that the cook is the same guy whom he tricked to get the suit for himself and the funny thing he nods his head just like Jerry and his girlfriend both did. George loses the job but escapes being heavily poisoned like the others who were with him at the table.

The episode ends however and we don't why Jerry's girlfriend refused to share with him the pie.

"That's my ass in your window!"

Season 5, Episode 15, "The Pie"

The Pie is yet another classic season 5 episode from Seinfeld, maybe not in the top 5 but definitely one worth rewatching and rewatching. For once all the different subplots, though they hardly interact, are all terrific and all the actors put in hilarious performances.

Jerry's story may be the title of the episode, and it's probably the most memorable of the bunch, but Jason and Julia turn in wonderful performances; Elaine's storyline in particular is one of the most bizarre and hilarious up to this point in the show. Jerry's storyline is still the peak of the episode though, memorable both for the first appearance of Poppy - one of the most beloved recurring characters on Seinfeld - and the fantastic ending.

Poppie's Pies

Warning: Spoilers
Christine Dunford guest stars as the Saleswoman, and this was two years before she became a leading actress in the police sitcom Hudson Street, where she played Officer Kirby McIntire. Anyway, I think The Pie was far better than The Marine Biologist, especially with the pie denouements and all which made me laugh big time, and also there was a Short Cuts feel with this episode, with intertwining plots that really brought things together. Reni Santoni should have got an Emmy for his role as Poppie who gets into hot water with the health authorities because he refuses to wash his hands when baking pizza.

Incredible

I don't know where to start. First of all we have Jerry at his manic best, overreacting to his girlfriend's refusal to try some of his pie. Then that is extended to the restaurant where she works, where her boss doesn't wash his hands after using the toilet. Elaine becomes obsessed with a mannequin that looks just like her and has to know where it came from. This leads to theft. Kramer has an itch which drives him crazy until he finds a waitress to scratch it. But this one has one of the greatest endings which features Kramer's breakup with the waitress and his actions in Jerry's car. It just doesn't get any better.

I don't eat pie because it's full of lard.

Still to this day I don't know why the lady nodded her head like a psycho.

March 20th of the year 2023rd.

What was this episode about?: Jerry dates a girl that nods her head.

George guards a suit

Kramer dates a cute back scratcher.

As for Elaine I got to see her naked... Hotdamn

Story and the production overview: A nonstop busy fun mysterious episode.

Also got to be introduced to a couch pisser aka Poppy the sloppy.

Overall a fun episode.

Highlight: Poppy not washing his hands and zipping up through his apron.

George guarding a suit was legendary

"IF YOU ARE ONE OF US YOU'LL TAKE A BITE"

laugh meter: 10

Girlfriend attractiveness level: Cute kid. A 9. Wish was in more episodes.

What can be learned?: wash you godamn hands after going to the washroom/bathroom /restroom. It's disgusting if you don't.

Verdict: easy as pie.

I Hated Kramer in this one
JayHysterio7 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The way he hurt Olive's feelings after his back stopped itching and he dumped her was cold, especially when they showed her reaction while he taunted her with the Elaine look alike mannequin. It seemed out of character for Kramer to behave so intentionally mean to someone especially since she had helped him.

Also the scene where George refuses to eat the poisoned pie was a reference to the Pride of the Yankees scene where Lou Gehrig's teammates dared him to take a bite out of Babe Ruth's straw hat by saying "If you're one of us, you'll take a bite". George of course was a big Yankees fan and at one point worked for them.
