When Jerry first spots Kramer using his oven to heat clothes, Kramer is holding a newspaper open with both hands. In the next shot the paper is only in one hand and folded up, and later disappears completely.
Newman tells George that their deal was, he would "get the calzones on my route," and that "today I won't be going on my route, will I?" pronouncing the word "route" as "root." However, in The Diplomat's Club (1995), Newman tells Earl that he took over David Berkowitz's route, pronouncing "route" as "rout."
When George comes into Jerry's apartment complaining that he's in a fix, Jerry's jacket is on. Then it is suddenly completely off and he's preparing to hang it up.
When George greets Steinbrenner with the replacement calzone, he alternately holds the paper bag in his hand or on top of the box.
In the opening scene, George M. Steinbrenner III mentions he was in the Army when in actuality, he had served in the Air Force. Larry David who voices Steinbrenner however served in the Army.
When Jerry gets pulled over for speeding, the cop starts writing him a ticket. Then Nikki asks if a ticket is really necessary, and he stops. Once a ticket is started it must be completed and can't be voided.
When George goes to Newman's apartment to "drop off the calzone money for the week," Newman is home because "it's raining" (which it is, confirmed in the next scene when Kramer goes out in the rain to buy the replacement calzones). But George (having just come from outside with a raincoat on) is completely dry he carries no umbrella, and no wet spots appear anywhere on his person at all.
Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld) considers a box of Cuban cigars to be a good wedding present for George (Jason Alexander), but back in season four George hates the Cubans when given to him from Susan's (Heidi Swedberg) father.
Newman tells George that he's not at work because "it's raining," and "I don't work in the rain." George says, "You're a mailman," and starts to recite the Postman's Creed, "Neither rain, nor sleet...it's the first one!" In the actual Postman's Creed, drawn from Book 8, Paragraph 98, of The Persian Wars by Herodotus (and inscribed in stone above the entrance to the James A. Farley Post Office building on 8th Avenue in Manhattan), snow is "the first one"; "Neither snow nor rain nor sleet nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds."
Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is seen smoking a cigar towards the end of the episode, but throughout the series she has consistently said she hates smoking.
