Scientists Gone Amok!
Hitchcoc18 July 2013
When a young man is afflicted with fear and shyness. He is afraid of his own shadow. He is flunking out of school and his sister goes to a psychology professor to help him out. It is the old story of a person in hypnotic state going back to a previous life: in this case he was formerly a convicted murderer who was eventually hanged. The story revolves around the hopefulness that hypnosis can adjust the level of emotional stability. We feel bad for this young man because his shyness invites the animus of his fellow students. He is seen as a wimp and treated as such. The place where things fall apart has to do with a group of educated men with significant responsibilities way overstepping the bounds of their rights and privileges. It's interesting how the people screening these stories never seemed to ask that hard questions relating to this.
