Sir Percy Blakeney : [Sir Percy, in disguise as Pierre Duclos, and Ginette, are hiding in the back of a straw-filled wagon. He looks around and gives a short whistle] We are safe for a while. I think we better stay here. You comfortable?
Ginette : Oh yes, very.
Sir Percy Blakeney : Good.
Ginette : Pierre?
Sir Percy Blakeney : Mmm hmm?
Ginette : What did you mean by... by tally-ho?
Sir Percy Blakeney : It is an old English hunting expression, calling for action.
Ginette : How would Pierre Duclos know such an expression?
Sir Percy Blakeney : Oh, you'd be surprised at the things that Pierre Duclos knows.
Ginette : I don't believe that you're a Frenchman at all. And I don't think that your name is Pierre Duclos.
Sir Percy Blakeney : Why not? Pierre Duclos, he is as good as anybody, as good as...
Ginette : [She takes his chin and makes him look at her] The Scarlet Pimpernel?
Sir Percy Blakeney : [He smiles and kisses her hand] At your service, Mademoiselle.
Ginette : Oh, Monsieur! If I had known, I never would have dragged you into this danger!
Sir Percy Blakeney : Oh, Ginette! If I had been chained to some high and mighty lady, she'd have been grumbling all the time. I'm lucky it was you.
Ginette : You know what I am, Monsieur. An ordinary servant girl. I have no way to repay you. I am at your command, my lord.
Sir Percy Blakeney : [Takes her hand] Oh, Ginette! You think the Pimpernel could make such a claim?
Ginette : Some lords would.
Sir Percy Blakeney : [Kisses her hand] You know something, Ginette? That Monsieur Chauvelin is most inconsiderate, waking us so early in the morning to guillotine us. I am so tired.
Ginette : I will keep watch while you rest.
Sir Percy Blakeney : [He sighs and puts his head down to sleep while Ginette starts to silently weep] You know something, Ginette?
Ginette : What, sir?
Sir Percy Blakeney : Nevermind.
[Ginette reaches over and lovingly touches his cheek]
